Announcing Alivia's SS23 Collection
Hello Alivia community!
We’re very excited to share with you the launch of Alivia's new Spring womenswear collection, inspired by and in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day— exclusively reported by WWD.
At Alivia, we believe that fashion is more than just clothing— it's a way to express oneself, to showcase individuality and creativity, and to make a statement about what we stand for. That's why we’re proud to announce the release of our new collection, in collaboration with Gigi’s Playhouse NYC, to raise awareness and promote inclusivity for people with Down syndrome.
Gigi's Playhouse NYC is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome. Together, we set out to create a collection that’s radiant, expressive, and meaningful.
Our featured artist this collection is Stephanie Portoviejo, a talented 28 year old who has Down syndrome and participates in art therapy at Gigi’s Playhouse in NYC. Stephanie is a girly girl who loves all things pink, floral, and romantic. Stephanie's art-making process is full of joy, bold brush strokes and vibrant colors—all reflected across our colorful midi dresses, radiant maxi dresses, floral skirts, paisley Spring tops, and more.
We’re proud to use our fashion platform to raise awareness and promote inclusivity for people with Down syndrome, and we hope that our collection inspires others to do the same. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate world.
Thank you for your support, and we can't wait to see how, and where, you wear the new collection!
Love,
The Alivia team
